About this work
Untitled - 1957 spreads thin ink lines and pale watercolour washes across the sheet. The marks move in a loose rhythm without a clear subject. Alfred Manessier built the picture through repeated strokes rather than a single outline.
You get the fine art print with a hanger already on the back. The print arrives ready to hang, with a metal hanger fixed to the back that goes straight onto a nail or screw. No separate frame is needed. The flat surface keeps the ink tones even when light falls across the paper.
It suits a hallway wall near the front door. From the landing you see the pale washes gather in one area. From the kitchen doorway the thin lines read as a quiet pattern against the plaster.
