About this work
Untitled 1958 by Henri Michaux presents a small field of drawn marks on a plain ground. Thin ink lines run across the page in a loose scatter. The eye moves from one mark to the next, and most of the sheet stays open.
This fine art print comes on matte paper with a frame in white, wood, dark wood or black. The chosen frame finish gives the picture a clear edge on the wall. A white frame leaves the drawn marks open, while a dark wood frame puts a firm line around the page.
It sits above the desk in a study. You notice the small ink strokes first, then the open space across the top. The framed print reads as a calm drawing practice rather than a busy image.
