About this work
Untitled - 1966 by Lorser Feitelson uses hard edge painting with solid colour planes placed beside each other. The flat colour areas read as strict geometric blocks on a plain ground. Lorser Feitelson worked in post war american abstract painting and often let the lines hold tension across the sheet.
This fine art print sits in a frame with a back panel and arrives assembled when you choose ready to hang. The matte surface keeps the colour planes soft under a lamp so the sharp lines do not glare.
It fits a study wall above a desk where the hard edge shapes hold the eye from the desk chair. From the doorway you notice the flat colour planes first, then the quiet ground behind them.
