Untitled 9 — Fine Art

A hard edged band of colour cuts across the sheet. The edge stays sharp and the paint holds a clean flat tone. You can see the steady pressure of the brush along the line.

The fine art print comes ready to hang. Larry Zox worked this way, laying down smooth colour blocks that meet without blending. Untitled 9 - 1979 shows that kind of mark, a single colour band set in a plain field. The mark itself, the brushwork and the sharp turn of the edge, is what holds the page.

The metal hanger on the back goes straight onto a nail in the wall. You do not need a separate frame. The print comes ready to hang, so the flat colour band sits level on the surface without extra work.
