About this work
Untitled (Holy Hole)
A void of deep blue pierces the canvas. Untitled (Holy Hole) by Sam Francis presents a stark contrast, a rupture in the white expanse that draws the eye inward, as if gazing into the unknown.
The surrounding field is a stark white, almost blinding in its purity. The hole itself is irregular, organic, a tear in the fabric of the canvas. It is surrounded by a halo of sorts, a smudge of blue that bleeds into the white, creating a sense of depth and mystery.
This poster suits a quiet corner, a place for reflection. It invites contemplation, a moment of pause in a busy day.
