An orange rectangle, matte and unbroken, fills the sheet. This is Robert Ryman’s Untitled (orange Painting).
The color isn’t uniform; faint brushstrokes tilt slightly, catching light at different angles. Four screws, one in each corner, fasten the canvas to the backing. The edges stay raw, no frame to contain them.
Hang it above a pale linen sofa, or let it sit alone on a long hallway wall where afternoon sun can shift across its surface.
