Untitled Peonias series — Fine Art

Untitled Peonias series shows the flower name written in long loose letters across a pale sheet. The hand drawn signs run over the white ground and leave room for the page to breathe. The work stays close to the lyric drawing practice Cy Twombly kept up for years.

This fine art print uses a white frame finish, so the edge of the frame reads as a clean line against the letters. The white frame keeps the letters clear and gives the picture a defined edge on the wall.

Against the study desk wall, the handwriting stands out from the chair. The letters pull the eye along the page. You notice the open white space around each sign first.
