Untitled SF90-362 — Fine Art

Untitled SF90-362 shows broad colour washes spread across an open field. The paint sits in wide areas with softer edges where it thins out. Sam Francis worked with these open colour fields and thin washes in his later years. The image keeps large spaces of the ground visible between the painted parts.

The fine art print comes with a frame in white, wood, dark wood or black. The frame gives the picture a clear edge on the wall. A white frame keeps the open ground bright next to the painted areas. A black frame puts a sharper line against the softer washes.

It fits a study wall above a desk. From the chair you see the broad colour shapes first, then the thin edges where the paint thins out.
