Variant Adobe 1947

The page is built from three flat colour bands stacked one above the other. The top band is a deep ochre, the middle one a dusty rose, and the lower band stays pale tan. Variant Adobe 1947 comes from the Bauhaus colour studies Josef Albers kept working on for years.

This fine art print arrives with a metal hanger fitted to the back. You put it straight onto a nail or screw. No separate frame is needed to hold the sheet flat.

It looks steady on a dining room wall near the side door, where the afternoon light runs along the top band. From the table you notice how the pink band sits under the ochre one and the pale tan stays at the bottom.
