Vase of Chrysanthemums — Fine Art

A vase of chrysanthemums by Pierre-Auguste Renoir fills the page with soft petals in pink, cream and yellow. The marks spread across the surface in quick touches that leave room between each stroke. You can see the white ground showing through in places.

This fine art print keeps those separate strokes and the pale ground intact. A light frame on a dark wall or a wood frame beside timber furniture can follow the room you choose. The matte paper holds the soft tones without shine under a lamp.

In a dining room, the blooms sit above the sideboard near a low lamp. From the room you see the flower shapes first, and the small gaps in the paint when you stand closer.
