Vase of Flowers — Fine Art

Vase of Flowers shows a floral arrangement set against a plain background. Theo van Rysselberghe built the petals from small dots and short strokes. The flower colours read clearly across the room, then the small marks come into view when you stand near the picture.

The fine art frame comes in white, wood, dark wood or black and gives the picture a clean edge. A white frame keeps the edges soft against the painted petals. A black frame puts a firm line around the dots so the flower shapes stay separate.

The print works on a dining room wall above a sideboard. From the door you notice the flower colours first, then the dots near the vase neck. The frame gives the picture a clear border on the plaster.
