Vase of Flowers with Branches of a Flowering Apple Tree — Fine Art

A vase of flowers with branches of a flowering apple tree shows a loose group of blooms on the page. The eye moves from the vase to the open petals and leaves. Odilon Redon works with soft charcoal and pastel tones. Some areas leave the background empty.

The fine art print keeps the soft tones flat and even across the sheet. A light frame on a dark wall or a dark frame on a pale wall follows the room. A wood frame beside wooden furniture links the print to the furniture.

It hangs in a dining room at mid height. When you pass the door you see the flower shapes first. Close up you notice the small pencil lines and the open petals.
