Vase With Flowers

A vase holds flowers set against a plain ground in Vase With Flowers - 1990. The shapes are simple, with a few lines giving the stems some life. Aldemir Martins often worked in a plain graphic style with solid forms and a clean look.

The print uses a fine art frame in a white finish. The white edge keeps the picture clear on the wall and lets the vase shape stand without a strong border around it.

It fits a kitchen wall near the sink, where you see the flower shapes while washing up. The white frame matches the tiles and the lines stay easy to read from the table.
