Vase With Flowers and Fruit — Fine Art

Vase With Flowers and Fruit - 2001 shows a vase holding blooms and fruit on a plain sheet. The shapes sit in broad colour areas laid by free brushwork. Aldemir Martins worked with this kind of loose handling, often leaving the pigment uneven on the page.

You get the fine art print with a hanger already on the back. The print carries the marks in a matte finish, so the light tones stay flat and there is no shine under a lamp. A dark frame on a pale wall lets the white ground keep its look.

It hangs on the dining room wall near the table. From the doorway you see the big shapes first. Up close you notice the small runs in the paint.
