Veiled Sail

Veiled Sail shows a loose sweep of painted form set over a wide open field. The brush moves across the surface with a clear gesture, leaving bands of wash that run side by side.

A soft veil-like mark rests at the centre of the sheet. The work belongs to abstract watercolour painting and points toward colour field painting practice. Sam Francis worked with thin paint and open space.

A fine art print carries these marks on matte paper, and the frame finish can match the wall behind it. On a pale landing wall the pale washes stay gentle under steady light. From the stair you see the big shape first, then the thin edges.

Information

Frequently asked

Yes — this Fine Art piece comes framed and arrives ready to hang. It is printed with our 12-color fine art technology on smooth matte paper (200 gsm), protected by shatterproof plexiglass, and set in a durable pine wood frame. A hanging kit is included, so you can put it straight on the wall.

Our 12-color fine art printing technology delivers vivid, accurate colors with real depth, far beyond standard 4-color inkjet printing. The print is on smooth matte paper (200 gsm, 0.26 mm thick) that gives a clean, glare-free display, and it sits behind shatterproof plexiglass in a durable pine wood frame (20 mm thick, 10 to 14 mm wide). The paper and wood are FSC-certified. Every piece is printed and shipped on demand, so there is no minimum order and every order is fresh.
