View of Auvers — Fine Art

View of Auvers by Paul Cézanne takes in a stretch of countryside with houses, fields and trees laid out across the picture. The forms read clearly across a room, then the separate patches and lines come into view when you step nearer. The picture stays open and quiet.

A fine art print sits in a frame with a back panel, ready to hang. For this view the matte surface keeps the greens and earth tones soft and the painted strokes stay visible without shine.

It works on a hallway wall where the morning light comes from one side. From the stairs you see the broad colour areas, closer you notice the short side by side cuts across the ground.
