Villa R 1919 — Fine Art

Villa R 1919 opens on a house form set against a quiet field. A few coloured patches sit on the page and a thin line circles the shape. The eye moves from the roof edge down to the plain ground. Paul Klee built this kind of measured sign drawing during his Bauhaus years.

You get the fine art print with a hanger already on the back. The white frame gives the picture a clear edge on the wall. The white edge keeps the pale colours from getting lost at the border. The paper is matte, so the light tones stay soft under a lamp and there is no shine.

It works on a bedroom wall away from the window. From the bed you see the big flat shapes first. Up close the small pencil marks become visible too.
