About this work
Winter In A Forest Rime by Ivan Shishkin (1877)
A frosted forest glows under pale sunlight in Ivan Shishkin's Winter In A Forest Rime. This artwork captures the quiet beauty of a winter's day, where every branch and twig is outlined in white, creating a delicate lattice against the sky.
The forest floor is a tapestry of snow and ice, with hints of greenery peeking through the white blanket. Shishkin's meticulous detail brings the scene to life, from the texture of the bark to the play of light on the snow. The cool blues and whites dominate the palette, punctuated by the dark trunks of the trees.
This poster brings a sense of calm and tranquility, ideal for a study or library where quiet reflection is valued.
