Winter in Green — Fine Art

Winter in Green - 1970 by Hiroyuki Tajima shows a quiet field of colour with flat shapes laid across the sheet. The picture follows the postwar abstract painting practice of building a surface from simple colour areas. You see broad colour sections with thin outlines separating them.

This fine art print uses a white frame that gives the image a clear edge on the wall. The matte paper keeps the flat colour planes easy to read without a shine.

On a bedroom wall near an open window the big colour areas can be seen from a short distance. The small pencil marks on the sheet show up when you stand closer.
