Yellow Moby Glut 1986 — Fine Art

The title Yellow Moby Glut 1986 points to bright yellow and a whale shape. Robert Rauschenberg often mixed paint with printed material in his combines. Here a yellow mass sits on a muted field with rough edges and a few dark lines cutting through.

This fine art print uses matte paper so the yellow stays flat and the dark lines keep their weight. A light frame keeps the image clear on a darker wall.

On a hallway wall near the stairs, the yellow shape reads first from the landing. The dark marks show when you pass by.
