Ziemia fragment

Roman Opalka worked on one painting for years, adding small painted numbers each day. Ziemia fragment - 1969 belongs to that long running project. The sheet holds the quiet rhythm of repeated handwritten marks, built up slowly over time.

The fine art print keeps those thin painted lines clear on a matte sheet, so the numbers stay soft and readable without a glossy shine.

The print hangs on a pale wall in a study, a little below the top of the desk. You notice the steady run of small figures as you sit and work.
