About this work
Omicron V - 1961 shows concentric circles in colour on a flat ground. The rings step outward from a darker centre and the bands stay even. Alexander Liberman made this kind of geometric form and the printed lines read as clean shapes without a brush edge.
The fine art print goes straight onto a nail. The print carries a white frame finish. That frame edge keeps the painted circles separate from the wall and the image keeps its own space.
On a hallway wall with steady light, the solid circles hold their shape from a distance and the small gaps between rings show when you pass them.
