Not Detected 29 — Fine Art

Not Detected 29 keeps its subject out of view, so the surface does the work. Ben Shahn often built pictures from signs, text and steady social realist observation, and that habit shows in the way the image leans on plain shapes and writing rather than a clear scene.

The fine art print comes ready to hang. The frame comes in white, wood, dark wood or black, and you can pick the one that matches the room you have in mind.

This works on a kitchen wall where a day starts early and the room fills with ordinary movement. From the counter you read the shapes first, and from the table you notice the way the line holds its place. The print stays quiet while the room goes on.
