Chris Foss by Chris Foss

Chris Foss builds a wide field of painted marks on the picture plane. Chris Foss lets the eye move across a plain ground with room left empty. The weight sits near the centre and the edges stay open.

This fine art print arrives ready to hang with a metal hanger fitted to the back that goes straight onto a nail or screw. The matte surface keeps the painted tone flat under a lamp.

In a study, the plain ground stays calm beside shelves of books. From the desk you see the central weight and the open edge.

As a guide: 40×50 cm suits a desk or small wall, 50×70 cm sits well above a sofa or bed, and 70×100 cm anchors a room as a focal piece. If you'd like advice for your space, send us your dimensions and we'll recommend a size.

For your country, this piece is estimated at 5 to 8 business days from the moment you order, including production, with free tracked delivery. Every piece is made to order by the print partner closest to you; framed pieces take a little longer because each one is framed and checked before dispatch. These are estimates, and there is no express option. Full country-by-country ranges are on our estimated delivery times page, and you can see exactly how your piece is packed.

If your piece arrives damaged, defective, or isn't what you ordered, email us within 7 days of delivery with photos and your order number, and keep all packaging. We will send a free replacement at no cost to you. See our refund policy for the full process.
