About this work
Provincetown Summer 1966 I - 1966 shows broad patches of sea green and pale sand set against a warm ground. The paint sits in thick layers, and some edges stay soft where one colour meets the next.
Edward Corbett worked from the coast, and this scene keeps that light on the paper. A fine art print set in a frame with a back panel keeps those paint layers readable without glare on the surface.
You notice the uneven brush edges first on the green band, then the sandy band underneath, when you stand near the kitchen wall by the sink. The back panel holds the print flat against the frame.
