Large Poppies — Fine Art

Large Poppies shows flowers painted in strong red against a bright green ground. The work belongs to German Expressionism, where colour carries feeling rather than copying nature. Emil Nolde used oil on paper for many flower studies, and often painted outdoors.

This product is a fine art print set in a frame with a back panel. The paper is matte, so the red of the petals stays flat and the green stays clear. The frame fits the heavy outlines without crowding them.

It hangs on a painted wall in a bedroom. From the foot of the bed you see the red field first, then the green. The bright shapes sit above the bedhead.
