Deep Sun

Deep Sun - 1983 starts with a wide warm band at the top. A cooler colour sits below it, leaving the lower edge open.

The layers press close but do not mix, so the edge between them feels sharp. Helen Frankenthaler often worked with thin colour that soaks into the sheet, and this print keeps that look of paint spread and settled.

The fine art print arrives with a metal hanger fitted to the back. You can put it on a nail or screw without a separate frame. In the kitchen, the warm top band picks up the light from the window over the sink, and the cooler band stays calm at the counter eye line.
