Espejo Púrpura — Fine Art

A purple ground covers the sheet in Espejo Púrpura - Art Informel by Manuel Rivera. The surface carries uneven patches where the paint was laid down in a quick sweep. The brush does not cover the whole area, so the ground shows through in several spots.

The fine art print goes straight onto a nail. The print sits on matte paper with no surface shine, so the purple tones stay dark and the lighter grey areas do not wash out beside a lamp. A dark frame on a pale wall keeps the picture from fading into the background.

In a narrow hallway at shoulder height the mark reads first as a broad colour field and then as separate strokes. The uneven paint surface catches the dim light along the plaster edge.
