Maple and Cedar, Lake George by Georgia OKeeffe

Maple and Cedar, Lake George shows a quiet view of trees and water under a clear sky. The maple and cedar leaves sit against the lake in broad colour areas. This painting belongs to American modernism, with simple forms and calm colour choices.

The fine art print goes straight onto a nail. The print sits in a white, wood, dark wood or black frame that gives the picture a clean edge on the wall. The frame finish stays thin against the lake colours so the marks do not get lost.

On a plain corridor wall the viewer sees the tree forms from down the hall, and up close the leaf areas read as separate blocks of colour against the water.
