About this work
Mojabe - 1966 shows a field of loose marks laid across the paper with a confident hand. The strokes run in different directions and leave uneven patches of paint. Norman Bluhm worked with a free, gestural method that lets the brush move without much planning. The picture stays open and does not fill every corner.
This fine art print arrives ready to hang on a nail or screw. A metal hanger is fitted to the back, so you do not need to buy a frame. The matte surface keeps the painted marks from shining under a lamp.
It fits a quiet bedroom wall where you see it from the doorway first, then notice the small drawn lines when you stand near the bed. The horizontal marks settle on the wall without crowding the room.
