More yellow, less green - 1989 by Carmen Herrera sets two hard colour bands against each other. The yellow field presses forward while the green band holds a steady line at the edge. The division is sharp and does not fade.

You look at the line where one tone stops and the next one begins. fine art printing keeps those flat tones even and the edges clean. A metal hanger is fitted to the back and it goes straight onto a wall screw or nail.

No framing step is needed. It works on the short wall in a study above a desk. From the doorway the two bands read as a single shape, and up close the printed edges stay firm.
