Retina - Don t Bug Me by Marcel Barbeau sets a plain ground with a few thin lines and small marks laid down in a loose pattern. The drawn signs stay spaced out and the surface stays quiet. The picture fits with the artist wider practice of abstract line drawings made from chance and automatic marks.

You get a fine art print set in a frame with a back panel. The paper is matte so the light greys stay soft and there is no shine under a lamp. That keeps the thin lines clear and the small marks visible.
