About this work
Turkish form - 1967 shows a few thin lines and small shapes set on a quiet field. The lines run in different directions across the surface. Ben Nicholson made works like this in the British abstract style of the mid twentieth century. The shapes look spare and measured.
This fine art print sits on matte paper so the lines stay soft and the surface has no shine under a lamp. The frame can follow the room, with a light frame on a dark wall or a wood frame beside wooden furniture.
It hangs on the wall in a study, a little above desk height. From the chair you see the thin lines clearly, and the small pencil marks come into view when you lean in.
