Untitled 04.B.0111 — Fine Art

Untitled 04.B.0111 - 2004 shows a soft painted ground with areas of tone laid over it. The colour sits in broad patches rather than in lines. The surface reads as a quiet field of paint. The work follows the abstract painting practice Gunther Forg used across his working years.

The fine art print comes ready to hang. The frame comes in white, wood, dark wood or black and gives the picture a clear edge on the wall. On this sheet the frame edge keeps the painted ground contained and lets the soft tone hold without a hard border.

In a reading corner this sheet sits on a side wall above a desk. From the chair you notice the slow change in tone across the field. From the doorway the painted ground reads as one quiet area.
