Pallas Athena-Earth

Pallas Athena Earth shows a figure in warm reddish tones set against cooler blue and green fields. Broad strokes and scattered marks carry the painted surface. The work sits in the abstract painting practice Grace Hartigan followed through her career.

A fine art print keeps the layered paint bands intact because the paper holds the darker reds without glare. The frame finish can match the room, so a dark frame on a pale wall lets the blue fields stay clear.

On a study room wall above a desk, the blue and green zones stay calm across the day. From the chair you see the figure outline, and the red marks break up the quiet field.
