Homage to Democracy — Fine Art

Homage to Democracy - 2000 shows a grounded arrangement of forms on a clear field. The eye picks up the heavier central mass first, then drifts to the lighter edges. A steady sense of balance holds the picture together.

This fine art print sits on matte paper, which keeps the local tones soft and prevents a hard shine from lamps. The frame finish can follow the room: a light frame on a dark wall, a dark frame on a pale wall, or a wood frame beside wooden furniture.

On a stairwell landing with a single bulb overhead, the heavier centre reads first and the empty margins stay open. From the landing you notice the quiet spread of the marks before the small details.
