Moustaches by Jean Arp

The title Moustaches points to a playful shape study. Jean Arp worked with chance and simple forms. In this fine art print, lines suggest a face with curved marks above. The image relies on a light hand and open space. Nothing is crowded.

This object is a fine art print set in a frame with a back panel. The panel seals the back so dust stays out and the sheet stays flat. When you use the ready to hang option it arrives assembled. The matte paper keeps the lines soft and stops glare from a lamp.

On the landing wall above a narrow console the shapes sit near the top rail. From the stairs you see the broad curves first, while the small strokes only show when you pass close. The straight back panel fits flush against the plaster.
