Not Identified 13 — Fine Art

Not Identified 13 shows a figure against a plain ground, painted in the Paris studio style of Moise Kisling. The paint sits in smooth patches with clear edges, and the drawing keeps the face and shoulders separate from the background. The work stays simple in its layout.

This is a fine art print set in a frame with a back panel. The surface is matte, so the painted lines and the flat ground do not reflect light. You see the colour as it sits on the paper, and the frame keeps the edges steady.

It fits on a corridor wall where the light changes during the day. From the bottom of the stairs you notice the single figure first, then the quiet colour behind it. The picture reads without needing explanation.
