About this work

Kiss for Me

Kiss for Me - Cross for You - 2000 by Bob Law shows a cross shape and a kiss mark placed close together on a plain ground. The forms sit side by side with room between them. Bob Law made work around signs and symbols, and this image uses simple shapes in that way.

The picture is offered as a fine art print on matte paper. The paper keeps the flat tones even and the surface stays matte under a lamp. A light frame on a dark wall lets the cross stand out, while a dark frame on a pale wall holds the kiss mark.

It fits a narrow hallway wall between two doors. When you walk past, the cross reads first, then the kiss mark comes into view. The matte surface does not catch the ceiling light.
