Bouteilles — Fine Art

Bouteilles - Art Informel shows several bottles drawn with quick strokes on a pale ground. The marks run from one side toward the other with a fast hand. Some lines stop short while others carry over. The shapes stay plain, with no extra detail added.

A fine art print keeps the paint lines soft on the page. A black frame sets a clean line around the picture and gives the bottles a firm border on the wall. A white frame makes the pale ground feel open and the strokes read with more room.

In a kitchen above the sink the bottles line up against the tiles. From the breakfast table you catch the short strokes on the label and the way the frame edge meets the painted forms.
