Myrina — Fine Art

Myrina - 1995 by Piero Dorazio presents a loose sweep of colour across the sheet. Broad bands of blue, red and yellow run side by side, with soft edges where one hue meets the next. The drawing reads as a clear sign from across the room and shows the hand drawn strokes when you step nearer.

This fine art print sits in a frame with a back panel, so the paper stays flat and the edges stay covered. The matte surface keeps the blues from shining under a lamp and lets the yellow bands hold their own.

It fits above the cooker in a kitchen, where the bright bands pick up the morning light and the red band fills the space between two cabinets.
