Untitled — Fine Art

Untitled - 1998 shows a loose band of colour moving across a plain field. The mark sits near the top and leaves most of the sheet open. Raoul De Keyser often worked this way, with a single area of tone against a quiet background.

The sheet arrives as a fine art print with a metal hanger fitted to the back. You place it straight onto a nail or screw, so the band of colour stays level on the wall without any extra frame.

In a narrow hallway, the eye catches the colour band first as you pass by. From a step back, the open space around it feels uncluttered. On a bedroom wall, the same mark reads as a simple note against the plaster.
