Watermelons — Fine Art

Watermelons by Rufino Tamayo shows fruit resting on a plain ground. The picture uses bold flat fills and clear outlines, the way the artist worked across his career. Two melons sit close together, their green skins and red interiors read as simple colour blocks.

This fine art print comes with a frame in white, wood, dark wood or black. The frame gives the image a clean edge on the wall, so the fruit shapes do not drift into the room.

Hang it in a dining room on the wall beside the table. From the doorway you notice the green and red first, then the plain ground behind them.
