About this work
The Red Maple - 1914 shows a single maple tree with red leaves standing in a cleared landscape. A.Y. Jackson painted this in the group of seven style, working outside to catch the colour of the tree against the pale ground.
This fine art print arrives ready to hang, with a metal hanger fitted to the back that goes straight onto a nail or screw. No separate frame to buy. The metal hanger holds the sheet flat when it goes on the wall, so you do not need to buy anything else to put it up.
It sits on the stairwell wall at the top landing, where the morning light hits the red leaves first. From the bottom step you notice the tree standing sharp against the pale ground, and the small paint ridges show when you pass by.
