S. H. Raza

S.H. Raza was an Indian abstract painter and a founding member of the Progressive Artists Group, celebrated for his Bindu series - geometric compositions centred on a black or red dot symbolising cosmic origin - that synthesise Indian philosophical thought and European abstract traditions. His deeply meditative works are among the most significant in modern Indian art.
