Seraphine Louis

Seraphine Louis (Seraphine de Senlis) was a French Outsider Art painter and self-taught visionary who created exuberant, obsessively detailed paintings of lush bouquets, fruit trees, and leaves in jewel-like colours, which she believed were inspired by divine visions. Discovered by the collector Wilhelm Uhde, her remarkable art is among the most striking in the Outsider Art tradition.
