Two layers of square lines cross one layer of dash marks in 2 Trames de Carrés1 Trame de Tirets - 1975. The squares run in a grey grid while the dashes break the pattern in a darker line.

The contrast makes the grid feel steady and the dashes feel loose. This is a fine art print from the concrete art practice of Francois Morellet.

The matte paper holds the soft greys without shine. A light frame on a dark wall keeps the grid clean at a medium height. In a hallway with one side light the squares stay even and the dashes show as you pass.
