A for Apple — Fine Art

A for Apple - 1963 uses a plain typeface set against a flat ground. Billy Apple works in a mid twentieth century abstract style that turns letters into simple form. The word sits alone on the sheet, with no other marks around it.

The fine art frame comes in white, wood, dark wood or black. A black frame gives the lettering a firm edge, so the word reads as a clear shape against the wall.

It suits a study wall near a desk lamp. You see the lettering first, then the plain ground beside it, and the dark frame holds the whole sheet in place.
