A long island garden — Fine Art

A Long Island Garden shows a garden path and plant outlines in paint. The tones stay light against a pale field. Lines for leaves and stems cross the sheet. Childe Hassam worked in the American impressionist style. The paint holds a loose feel. You see the brush marks across the open space.

This fine art print arrives ready to hang, with a metal hanger fitted to the back that goes straight onto a nail or screw. No separate frame to buy. The matte paper keeps the pale paint tones from shining under a lamp. The surface reads flat.

It sits on a hallway wall beside a glass door. From the landing you notice the garden lines first. Closer by you see the paint strokes. The path on the sheet leads the eye past the door frame without crowding the space.
