A Street in Algiers by John Singer Sargent — Fine Art

A Street in Algiers shows a narrow road lined with white walls and a few green shutters. The scene is built from quick paint strokes that break the light into short pieces. Sun falls on the pavement and on the closed door at the end of the lane.

The fine art print comes ready to hang. The print arrives ready to hang, with a metal hanger fitted to the back that goes straight onto a nail or screw. You do not need to buy a separate frame. The matte paper keeps the pale walls from shining under a lamp.

It fits on a narrow wall in a bedroom. From the bed you see the white walls and the side gate first. Step to the door and the small shadow shapes on the ground become clear.
